Dr. Ioannis Vlachodimitris

Ioannis-Anargyros Vlachodimitris was born in 1985 in Athens. He graduated from the Medical School of the University of Athens in 2010, with the degree of Lian Goods. Immediately afterwards he continued his education in Germany where he stayed for 12 consecutive years. From 2011 to 2016 he specialized in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Johanes Wesling Klinikum Minden University Clinic of Bochum University (High Risk Pregnancy Obstetrics Center, Gynecological Oncology Center. Breast Centre and Endometriosis Centre). Immediately after completing his residency he worked at the same clinic as a Supervisor until 2017.

In the period 2017-2019 he worked as an attending physician at the Department of Colposcopy and the Department of Urogynaecology at the University Clinic of Gynaecology Herdecke, University of Witten-Herdecke. From 2019-2021 he worked as a Supervisor at the Center for Endometriosis and Gynecological Oncology at the Evangelisches Krankenhaus Bethesda in Duisburg, where he worked closely with the Director of the Clinic and President of the European Endometriosis League Dr. Harald Krentel. As Coordinator of the Endometriosis Center and in charge of the Gynecological Oncology Center, he gained extensive experience performing a large number of laparoscopic procedures in advanced endometriosis and gynecological oncology cases, obtaining the Certification as a Specialized Gynecologist in Endometriosis and the Certification in Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery from the German Endoscopic Society. Along with his clinical work, in 2021 he completed his Dissertation on Breast Cancer, receiving his Doctorate from the University of Athens Medical School. In 2021 he returned to the Johanes Wesling Klinikum Minden University Hospital as Deputy Director of the Gynaecological Oncology Centre and at the same time trained in DaVinci Robotic Surgery and obtained the subspecialty of Gynaecological Oncology, recognised by the Medical Association of North Rhine-Westphalia.

Today the doctor works as Deputy Director of the Gynecological Oncology Clinic B’ of the private Clinic Mother and maintains a private clinic in Vas. Sofia 47 in Kolonaki. At the same time he continues his scientific work in the field of Endometriosis as a Young Board Member of European Endometriosis League.
